I have found someone that I like much better.
Please don't cry
, I'll remember you always! How you are so slow, and you don't have as many emoticons...
Seriously ... here's my link to my NEW blog!!!!!!!! CLICK HERE
Hello, dear friends!
Since I'm sick, I figured I might as well take time to post in here. I haven't written anything "personal" in quite awhile! I caught my glorious cold last night ... and tried to divert it by drinking hot garlic water. For the record, don't try this at home! Talk about NASTY!!
And, adding insult to injury, it didn't help. I've still got the incredibly sore throat. Mom told me that I'd hate it. Why does she always have to be right?
It is hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner ... 6 days and counting!
I'm hoping that we're all well before Christmas. My brother's in-laws are coming over for Christmas Eve to eat supper with us ...
I've been driving everyone nuts singing "It's the Most Wonderful time of the year...." at the top of my lungs...
They'll get over it.
This really is my favorite time of year ... I just wish that my family wasn't so far away!
So long for now!

A lady from my church gave this to me a while back and I just recently found it. I really love it and I thought I'd post it here:
I want you to close your eyes and picture in your mind the soldier at Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands. He stands barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war. He stands though, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this:
"I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution and now your children graduate too illiterate to read it.
"I fought in the snow barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home because it rains.
"I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business.
"I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it has stolen democracy from the people.
"It's the soldier not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press.
"It's the soldier not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech.
"It's the soldier not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate.
"It's the soldier who salutes the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag."
May God bless all of the soldiers and their families.
We have gotten back from my grandparents home in Alabama. The visit was wonderful but the trip is a holy terror!
Imagine -- 12 hours in a car!
The day after Thanksgiving, my grandmother, my mom, my two aunts and myself all went shopping. Boy, did we have a blast! I didn't buy much; but that's okay. It was really fun watching my Nana and two aunts shopping away! They were really getting after it!
I wish my dad's family lived closer -- or we lived close to Dad's family! We only see them about once every three years.
My oldest brother from Florida is here visiting ... it's so wonderful to see him - I don't get to see him much, either.
He's going with us tomorrow to pick out a Christmas tree!! I can't believe it's this time of year again! The past couple of days I've been busily wrapping presents!
I LOVE this time of year!!!

For some reason, my mind is on food...
I suppose it's because Thanksgiving plans are under way ... I still don't know what we're going to do. We may possibly go to Alabama ...
A friend of mine called me yesterday and told me to pray for a young man who is in Special Forces in Bagdahd. He's been seriously wounded.
So please pray for him whenever you think of him ... his name is Chad.
I was bored this afternoon, so I thought was a neat idea it would be to have an online journal!
I'll tell you all in a few days if it was a good idea, or not! Figuring out how to do the layout and stuff was a little more tricky than I had anticipated ... however, it's done now!
I suppose for the first entry I should start off saying a bit about my self ... I am a Christian homeschooler with only two years of high school left .. yes, that does mean I'm a junior!!!
I enjoy writing, reading, web design, spending time with friends (young and old alike), horseback riding, and much more.
That's about all I can think of for this entry ...
